The Institute is in contact with the Inland Revenue Department and it is understood that the issues are related to their system, mainly due to the traffic volume.  The Inland Revenue Department has confirmed these issues and they have informed the Institute that they are not going to impose any penalties on late submission of electronic company returns for the year of assessment 2016, that were otherwise due for filing by today, until the system is up and running.

 

The Inland Revenue Department will be communicating through its website news item, once the system is stablised and will notify any updates in respect of the submission due date.
