Struggling to cope with your CPE hours?

To ensure that its members remain at the cutting edge of their expertise,  the Institute provides its members support with their ongoing career development, through what are referred to in the field as ‘’Continuous Professional Education’’ (CPE) services.

In fact, every year all accountants are required to sit for a minimum of 25 hours of CPE, to secure both their warrant and their MIA membership. Given that accountants work long hours and have to contend with many deadlines while staying abreast with ongoing legislative updates, the mandatory CPE hours may not always be easy to meet.

Here is where the MIA came to the rescue of its members, with the recently launched “CPEonline - Your Time!”, an initiative that offers accountants a host of quality online training and development services, accessible on a 24/7 basis.

“CPEonline – Your time!” is a first for MIA, and will serve as a boost to those who previously had to completely reshuffle their personal and professional schedules to cover their minimum training requirements. “We are pleased to be launching a service that will help busy professionals meet their CPE requirements, at their own pace”, said Mark Abela, the Institute’s CEO.
“’CPEonline - Your time!’ offers courses in audit & assurance, financial management, ethics, legal & regulatory, financial reporting, tax, and soft skills amongst others” continued Mr Abela, “and all this is accessible online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

This new CPE system is exclusively available to the over 2,500 Institute members via MIA’s website, www.miamalta.org.
