Weekly update of EU Regulatory news for FEE Members
 
VAT: The European Commission has decided to set up a VAT Expert Group that will assist and advise the European Commission on VAT matters. View On 28 June 2012, a call for applications for the selection of the members of the VAT Expert Group was published to which FEE will respond. The European Commission has also published the complete VAT Committee guidelines issued since the VAT Committee was set up in 1977. View The FEE Indirect Tax Working Party is monitoring the work of the VAT Committee and will explore potential follow-up actions.
 
Amendments to IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12: On 28 June, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issued “Consolidated Financial Statements, Joint Arrangements and Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities: Transition Guidance (Amendments to IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12)”, with an effective date of 1 January 2013. The amendments mainly clarify the transition provisions. View
 
IPSASB publishes Consultation Paper on 2013–2014 Work Programme: The International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) has released for comment a Consultation Paper on the IPSASB Work Programme 2013–2014. View The document outlines considerations for the current public sector standard setting environment. FEE will respond to this consultation.
 
Integrated Reporting: Working towards the International Integrated Reporting Framework, in the next couple of weeks, the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) will release the Draft Outline of the Framework. OECD invites public comments on draft Commentary on the International VAT Neutrality Guidelines: The OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs(CFA) invites public comments on the draft Commentary on the International VAT Neutrality Guidelines. View This draft Commentary provides guidance on the practical implementation of the six International VAT Neutrality Guidelines approved by the CFA in July 2011 to which FEE had contributed. View
 
Anti-Money Laundering - Priorities of the new FATF Norwegian Presidency (2012-2013): In July 2012, Mr. Bjørn Skogstad Aamo became President of the FATF succeeding Giancarlo Del Bufalo from Italy. Among the priorities of the new FATF Presidency will be to promote and facilitate the effective implementation of the revised Recommendations and prepare for the Fourth Round of Mutual Evaluations. Results of the Danish Presidency: The Danish EU presidency has published the results of its work, highlighting its achievements towards a responsible, dynamic, green and safe Europe. View

5th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, 4 – 6 October 2012, Berlin:The Conference will focus on the future of CSR by exploring whether more collaboration between relevant global entities can bring more consistency across different institutions. About 100 international representatives from science, business, politics and governmental as well as non-governmental organisations will gather in Berlin to discuss the role and impact of CSR on corporate, manager and stakeholder behaviour.
