Weekly update of EU Regulatory news for FEE Members


FEE conference on audit policy:  More than 300 participants attended the FEE conference organised in Brussels on 30 June, to address key issues in audit policy in the EU. Keynote speakers included EC Commissioner Michel Barnier and PCAOB Chairman James R Doty. Documents and videos of the conference will be available on the FEE website.  View

Review of the Anti Money Laundering Recommendations: 
The FATF has now completed its third round of evaluations, and is currently conducting a review of the 40+9 Recommendations to ensure they remain up-to-date and relevant, and to learn any lessons from implementing and evaluating the current Standards. Comments should be sent to the FATF Secretariat no later than Friday 16 September 2011.  View

SME Implementation Group publishes its first Q&A guidance:  The IASB SME implementation group issued its first question and answer (Q&A) guidance on matters related to the implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities (IFRS for SMEs).  View

FEE Tax Day 2011 - From Policy to Practice – Highway to hell or heaven?:  On Tuesday 11 October 2011, FEE will organise its next Tax Day in Brussels.
