ESMA updates its FAQ - common positions on prospectuses: The Prospectus Directive and accompanying Regulation establish a harmonised format for prospectuses in Europe and allow companies to use the same prospectus prepared for admitting securities to trading on their home market to admit securities to any number of further European markets without having to re-apply for approval from the local regulator. The purpose of this document is to promote common supervisory approaches and practices in the application of the Prospectus Directive and its implementing measures. It contains 76 questions and answers prepared by ESMA and its predecessor CESR. View
IASB Revenue Recognition and Leases projects: EFRAG and the European National Standard Setters jointly organised meetings in eight European cities in order to inform European constituents of, and obtain their feedback on, the direction taken by the IASB in its re-deliberations on the Revenue Recognition and Leases projects. This document provides an executive summary of the feedback received during the meetings with European constituents. Additionally, EFRAG staff prepared detailed feedback statements on each event for the convenience of the European constituents. View The IASB and US-FASB agreed to re-expose their revised proposals for a common revenue recognition standard. It was the unanimous view of the boards that while there was no formal due process requirement to re-expose the proposals it was appropriate to go beyond established due process given the importance of the revenue number to all companies and the need to take all possible steps to avoid unintended consequences.
